Until December 31, Ford’s Theatre will be hosting one of the season’s most traditional plays, A Christmas Carol, the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his trip through time with the ghosts of Christmas. The Nutcracker

Running every day until Christmas at the Warner Theatre, the Nutcracker is a classic Russian ballet with a local twist – it’s set in historical Georgetown. From the dancing to the Tchaikovsky score, you’ll enjoy every element of this wonderful holiday performance. Tickets are available online.

Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical

MGM National Harbor Opening This Week

If you’re feeling lucky in the D.C. area, this weekend could be a good one – the MGM at National Harbor opens this week! The $1.4 billion casino has been under construction since 2014 and is sure to bring fun and excitement to the DMV region.

Representatives from the casino say the new 1 million square-foot MGM will bring “Vegas style gambling” to the nation’s capital. Besides 125,000 square feet of gaming areas, the casino also includes a 308-room hotel, 7 gourmet restaurants, and a 3,000-seat theater.

The casino also has a great lineup of stars opening up its theater. The first act at the new MGM will be legendary R&B group Boyz II Men on December 15th. Pop sensation Bruno Mars will perform on December 27, and classic rock staple Duran Duran will ring in the New Year with a show on December 31.

Traveling to DC for the MGM National Harbor
