DC & Alexandria Winter Restaurant Week 2016

It’s a great time to be a foodie in D.C.: Restaurant Week is here! Local eateries will run specials for Washington, D.C. Restaurant Week from January 25 – January 31. From January 29 – February 7, Alexandria celebrates its own restaurant week.

Over 200 establishments near both DC area hotels and hotels in Alexandria VA are participating. Diners can choose from $35 three-course dinners or lunches from $10 to $22 per person. We’ve listed some of our favorites to help prepare you – and your appetite!

Caprese – Old Town Alexandria (Italian)

This Old Town staple offers Italian classics like calamari and flatbread for dinner, but Caprese also serves up creative fare like their spicy Italian jambalaya and a balsamic glazed chicken breast served with fresh mozzarella and salad.

If variety is your thing, Ambar is offering unlimited small plates for your table for $35 per person. With over 30 different meats like spicy salami and beef prosciutto, plus flatbreads and kebab, Ambar has something to satisfy everyone’s palate.

Zentan Downtown D.C. (Japanese)

For lunch, Zentan diners can choose options like miso soup, sushi platter and pork bowl. Dinner offerings include a kale and beet salad, panko-crusted pork jowl with Japanese-style curry, and several sushi and kushi (skewered meat) platters.

King Street Blues – Old Town Alexandria (Southern BBQ)

King Street Blues is the place to be for comfort food. Their $35 dinner for two includes a choice of southern staples like country-fried chicken and smoked BBQ ribs. Dinner is served with wine or beer and key lime pie for dessert.
