4. Gunston Hall (15 miles)

Set on 550 acres, Gunston Hall is located just far enough for an intimate setting and just close enough to be a convenient destination. Choose your favorite DC eatery and have them cater to the hall.

5. Mount Vernon Country Club (6 miles)

Once part of George Washington’s Mount Vernon, this country club has branched into its own 125 acres of tall trees and rolling fairways. With 5 different room options- they’ll accommodate any wedding- big or small.

6. Torpedo Factory Art Center (3 miles)

As you may have guessed judging by the name, the Topedo Art Center has a unique modern vibe. Guests will love sipping cocktails on the mezzanine floor or outside on the brick patio, followed by a reception surrounded with one of a kind artwork.

7. The Athenaeum (2.5 miles)

Known as a memorable site for weddings, this historic building has a beautiful brick exterior that will serve as a great backdrop for your stunning pictures. The interior will impress you with it’s 24-ft high ceilings, vast windows, and intricate woodwork.

8. George Mason Masonic Memorial (3.5 miles)

Get the full DC experience at the Grand Masonic Hall. It’s surrounded by beautifully stained glass windows, supported by 8 enormous granite columns, and contains a 17 foot bronze statue of George Washington.

9. The Birchmere (5 miles)

The Birchmere is a legendary American music and theatre dinner venue that makes the perfect transformation into a wedding venue.

10. Hollin Hall (3 miles)

This colonial revival mansion is famous for its charming weddings. With 4 separate rooms, a modern kitchen, and a formal entry way, Hollin Hall provides you with plenty of options to make your wedding unique.

11. Lloyd House (2.5 miles)

Host your special day in the North Parlor Room or outdoor Garden. The Lloyd house is a great setting for intimate ceremonies and receptions

12. Woodlawn Plantation (7 miles)

With a variety of outdoor locations, the Woodlawn Plantation allows you to invite 300 guests to enjoy gorgeous garden views.

The Spring Wine Festival & Sunset Tour Returns


The Spring Wine Festival & Sunset Tour returns to Mount Vernon May 15 – 17, 2015! This unique experience is also the most popular event held at the esteemed plantation of the first United States President, George Washington.
