Alexandria's Food & Wine Festival

Date: June 22, 2013, rain or shine
Time: 12:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Location: John Carlyle Square | 300 John Carlyle St. | Alexandria, VA 22314

For the second year in a row, the city of Alexandria is presenting the Food and Wine Festival. Last year was such a success that it only made sense to bring the event back. The idea of the festival is to promote local business development and the culture of the Carlyle District of Alexandria. Rain or shine, join thousands of other food and wine connoisseurs for an afternoon of fun.

In addition to wine tastings from 15 wineries from across Virginia and food samplings from Alexandria restaurants, there will also be arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities and live entertainment. The participating restaurants will be competing for a few awards, Best Appetizer, Best Main Course and Best Dessert. The Children’s Corner will feature face painting, balloon twisting and a moon bounce. Live entertainment for the day will be presented by the following acts: DelRay School of Rock, Hand Painted Swinger, Zumba demonstration by PIES Fitness Yoga Studio and FrankoJazz.
